GJG Architects are proud to be the designers of Rockpool’s second foray into the South-East Queensland aged care sector.
The building opened in August 2022.
We worked with the clients, contractors and a multi-disciplinary consultant team to deliver what we understand to be Australia’s first 5 Star Green Star designed aged care building.
The building has 150 residents all within sole occupancy rooms and is designed to provide a local landmark building for Economic Development Queensland’s Carseldine Urban Village development neighbourhood.

The artist impression from the site tender process shown here shows that throughout the design process we have maintained a clear vision of this building from inception to delivery.
The building is positioned directly adjacent to the neighbourhood sports field and it has been conceived as a local landmark. A café has been included in the most prominent place that will provide amenity for the neighbourhood as well as the residents of the facility.
